Slide WellerWEARBLOCKS™ WellerWEARBLOCKS™ are engineered to simultaneously withstand extreme abrasion and impact. By combining an ultra-hard grade of chrome, nickel alloy (700 BHN) cast under a tight control of selected chemistry and heat treated for fine microstructure. This component is metallurgical bonded to a mild steel backing-plate. The mild steel component absorbs impact and vibration energy and creates a composite material that is more impact and abrasion resistant than any single material on the market. The steel backing plate is subject to zero wear from abrasive flow and will hold together the composite even in cases of most severe impacts that could cause cracking of the composite rendering the whole unit virtually shatterproof. The steel backing also enables the WellerWEARBLOCKS™ to be fastened by using WellerWELDSTUDS™ or by welding them directly to a steel surface.
